Recycled Flower

I found this beautiful large flower in my snippets box that was recycled from a card I received. It was too pretty to throw away and I decided to make a birthday card with it. I also found those 2 previously cut green leaves in the box along with the flower, so I paired them up. The sentiment was previously heat-embossed with white on some dark brown cardstock, so I used that snippet too. The background was cut from white with a Lawn Fawn stitched windy day die. My snippets box is a wee bit lighter today, but I have a long way to go before I use up all those bits I've saved through the years :)

I'm sharing this with these challenges:

(must use dies sold in their store - Lawn Fawn background die

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful Sunday!

Carol

I missed a few days of blogging and you got way ahead of me. I love the lilac card and the flower and gorgeous sun card previously posted. I have those Lil' Inker sun dies too. I see why you wanted to save this flower, it is so pretty. I like that background die too. Great job using up snippets.

A lovely background for your gorgeous recycled sunflower. Great card.

Thanks for bring your homework along to the Snippets Playground. I will definitely watch out for slide splinters! If you're having trouble sleeping, perhaps you should down a few cocktails and drift off in the hammock strung up below the treehouse! Don't worry about your back, you'll be fine! xxx

Wow, that is such a beautiful flower and I don't blame you for wanting to recycle that one! It looks like it was made to fit with your whirly stitched die cut background too! Beautiful card and nicely done making your snippet box a tad bit lighter too! Thanks for the inspiration friend!

You made so well saving this lovely flower and upcycling it!! It's gorgeous and the two leaves (Creative Expressions, they seem) match perfectly with it! The windy background is very pretty, love this style of pinpoint backgrounds and this one makes me think to September that is just on the next door. Great take of the sketch, too!
Using the bits you hoarded in the year is a great project! An example to follow for sure, I have to do the same but it will take me some years! LOL :D!
Sending you big hugs and best thoughts as always dear friend! Enjoy your days the most you can!
