For Dad

Happy Father's day to all the dads out there, and also to our dads up in heaven along with so many others.
I made several cards like this to send to friends of ours, using MFT stitched strip dies and some snippets of dsp. I used a punch to make the silver star, and used SU! mini punches to make the smaller ones, and then used negatives from a SSS star border die for the tiny stars. The sentiment is an old wooden stamp I've had for years and there is no name on it, so I don't know who made it. The blue cardstock is from SSS.

Sharing this with the following challenges:

Dies R Us challenge #195 - Dad's Day/Make it Masculine

Have a wonderful day and to all the dads and grandfathers out there - enjoy your special day set aside to honor you!
Thanks for stopping by!

A beautiful masculine design for using some scraps! I have to remember all your ideas, they are always useful and the results so effective! Love the papers used and the stars add a lovely touch!
Hope you have had a sweet and chilling weekend :) Here it's very hot and water has begin to being low, this year has almost never rained :( Really a big problem for agriculture and farming, but also for domestic use. They already talk about rationing

Perfect colour combination for masculine cards as are the panels. You've definitely nailed this card, it's spot on to celebrate our man cubs that remain constant in our lives and sadly the ones we've lost but never forgotten x

Super cool card for Father's Day, Carol! I love the stars and your snippets of paper! I'm sure your family friend loved the card and for thinking of him! It was a very nice day so I hope Butch enjoyed the day! That wind was still crazy though!

A great masculine card and you are so good at making male cards. A good choice of papers and a nice design, not fussy or girly.

This is a great masculine Father's Day card Carol! I love the DS papers you used, very masculine looking indeed. The added stars are fun cause Dad should be a star! The big sentiment is perfect to let dad know how much he is loved. I love it! Hugs, Brenda

A lovely Father's Day card, great use of papers.

Thanks for the lovely comment on my recent card. As for colouring with pencils you need to use a paper stub and rub it gently over the pencil colour you put down - makes a big difference!
