This card started with the red strip of "happy birthday" embossed cardstock that I found in my box of snippets. I decided while I had my Martha Stewart balloon punch out, I'd make another birthday card with balloons. I used snippets of SU! dsp in assorted primary colors, and added a Sweet 'n Sassy Birthday die-cut sentiment in blue, coloring the candle with glaze pens. The word "happy" was done with wooden stick stamps, heat embossed with white and cut into little pieces and placed on top of the twine tied to the balloons. I added some sequins, gemstones and doo-dads to make this one festive.
I'm sharing this with the Allsorts Challenge Week 667 which is anything for a birthday. They're also celebrating their 13th birthday this week too, so bring on the party!
Have a great week ahead and thanks for stopping by!

It looks so happy and fun in these primary colors Carol! Love how you've made each letter in different colors on the "happy" word. The balloon strings cleverly placed through the die cut "birthday" word is so fun and cheerful! A great card for anyone's birthday! TFS

This is another cheerful and impressive card, Carol! The choice of the balloons is very appropriate and they look really pretty with the snippets of patterned papers!! Absolutely love the way you made the sentiment with the candle for "i" and the "happy" on single rectangles of different colours! The red stripe of the embossed background adds more interest! Such great design!!
Hugs and love on your way, have a fabulous beginning of the week!

What a riot of primary colours, it's fun and bright... everything a birthday card should be. I love the retro way you've done the 'happy' - it takes me back to my scrapbooking days, fab card x

What a fun, cheery and festive birthday card this is Carol! I love the primary colors and the whole design of this card. It is so fun for any age too! I love how you took some of the balloon strings through your sentiment, that looks amazing and so natural. Gosh, I just love this card!! Hugs, Brenda
Lovely design and gorgeous colours on the balloons♥
Fabulously fun card! The vibrant primary hues (+ green) are a timelessly winning - and very birthday appropriate - combo. Plus, IMO, a b-day just isn't a b-day without at least a few balloons.
