More Treats

I have a retired die from SU! that makes these little boxes, and I made 2 of them for our neighbors. They're going to be filled with those wonderful little almond-flavored Italian rainbow cookie bites for a sweet Easter treat. Chocolate for him and white chocolate for her. I decorated the side panels using square and scalloped punches, adding die-cut bunnies from GMD to the blue and SU! die-cut blooming heart flowers to the pink. The tops were decorated with die-cut sentiments and eggs, using mirror silver and gold to make the crosses. Once they're filled, they'll be tied up with some pretty ribbon.

Next I made a couple Easter baskets and filled them with candies. These 2 larger ones are filled with chocolates and decorated with Lil Inker die-cut bunnies and an Echo Park die-cut Easter sentiment, with the smaller sentiment being cut from a sheet of SSS pre-printed sentiments. I'll tie some pretty ribbon around these too before handing out.

Last but not least, I made 24 smaller baskets with a small sampling shown here. I used assorted dies, punches and pre-printed sentiments and I was able to use a lot of snippets to put these together. I tied them all with some bits of twine.

I do enjoy making things like this but what I love the most is seeing the faces of people when I hand them out randomly. I always put one in the mailbox the day before Easter and put the flag up so the mail carrier gets one too.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a wonderful day whatever you do.

Carol

You have been a BUSY stamper! I have that die and I think I only used it ONCE before it retired! I should get it out again, you've inspired me! You're such a generous soul, all your treats are beautiful and will be greatly appreciated, I'm sure!

Fabulous Carol, all of them so special, especially to the recipients. I took a leaf out of your book and gave a few to waitresses where my ex work colleagues and I went for a meal this week. They were over the moon, so I know what your recipients will be like and yours are bigger and hold more than mine! Super work.

I can imagine how special everyone who gets one feels and I love that you make them feel special by doing this. I will have to take a cue from you and start putting something in the mailbox for the postal carrier. I think I need to move into your neighborhood! lol Love that you do this! Big hugs, Brenda

Wonderful boxes. I am a huge fan of hexagon and octagon shapes, so melt for these charming creations all the more - just as I'm sure those lucky folks who receive one melted as well.
