Joyful Easter

Today I have 2 Easter cards to share. I have quite a few of those strip embossing folders and hardly ever use them, so I pulled 2 different ones out and made cards with them. For the first, I used some GinaK orchid LE cardstock I've had for years. I also used a GinaK stamp that I colored with Copics and used a Darice strip embossing folder to make the horizontal panel. I added some very old flower ribbon to the embossed panel, adding peel off stickers to the centers for a little sparkle.
The sentiment is by Sweet 'n Sassy.

For this version, I chose a Cuttlebug strip embossing folder and added aqua Nuvo drops to the flower centers for some subtle sparkle. The flowers were colored with glaze pens and black Nuvo drops. I chose Soft Sky cardstock for the card base and horizontal panel.

I'd like to enter the first card into the "Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge" which is anything goes with an option to add a twist of Easter. Embossing is required whether it's heat or dry embossing.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you're enjoying a nice weekend. It sure feels great to know warmer temperatures are on the way soon!
Take care and stay well.
Carol

Both cards are beautiful, Carol! I love that you used those simple little embossing folders in such a big way! It adds so much to your pretty cards! Cannot believe Easter will be here in 1 week! I'd better get my butt in gear! LOL I am so looking forward to warmer weather this week and I hope you are too! TFS these beautiful cards with us! Love & hugs to you, my friend!

Hi Carol! You surely put to a very good use those strips embossing folders!! ow! Both your cards are very elegant and the designs look clean and impressive! Wonderful colouring on the flowers and I just LOVE especially the first one with that flowers ribbon on the orchid embossed panel!! Just delightful! Orchid is one of my favourite colours and the cute flowers with the sparkling centres are really sweet!!
Hope you are having peaceful days, my friend! You are always in my prayers and thoughts. Sending good vibes and BIG hugs across the ocean!!

Two very pretty floral cards and the embossed strips on both are lovely. You've reminded me that I have a selection of strip embossing folders amongst my collection of EF's.

Very pretty, just changing the colours makes such a difference to the look... I like the use of the embossing border and these cards make me smile.

I hope you found your strength to get through what I imagine was a terribly difficult day for both of you, stay strong and positive ❤️ x

Both cards are beautiful Carol! I love the color combo of both of them so much, and I love that flower stamp. But what I really love is how you used those narrow embossing folders! How clever, I have some and now I will have to use them this way. I love the embossed strip in the middle like that, it looks so pretty. Leave it up to you to use these in a creative way! Hugs, Brenda

Wow! What a stunning floral image! I love that you've used it for both of these cards and changed each up a bit with the coloring and the embossing strips! They both turned out so pretty! I have a few of these embossing strips as well and I don't remember using them if I did, so thanks for inspiring friend!

Lovely cards, Carol! I have those little embossing folders! Not sure if I ever used them. If I did it was a long time ago. I think you have inspired me!

Timelessly beautiful spring greeting. I adore the embossed border strip and really appreciate the reminder of not only how lovely they are, but that we should all bust them out of our stashes more often.
