St. Patrick's Day Card

I make a couple St. Patrick's day cards to send out each year, and this one is going to a friend who sent me this cute Brutus Monroe gnome die last year. The rainbow and clouds were done with Lil Inker dies and the cauldron was made with a retired SU! ornament punch, altered a bit with legs added. The golden shamrocks were done with Taylored Expressions dies and the "good luck" on the cauldron is a peel-off sticker. The sentiment panel was done with a Sweet 'n Sassy ticket die and the sentiment was done with a long-retired SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp (2009). I added a little shamrock sticker to the sentiment panel and some sparkly green Stampendous peel-off stickers to the gnomes hat and tassel. The clouds were lightly sponged with some Tumbled Glass ink and I covered them both with clear Wink of Stella. I colored the gnome's gloves with a fluorescent green Copic marker in keeping with the "green" holiday.

I'll enter this card into the following challenges:

The Four Seasons March Spring Challenge A/G with this mood board

the Sisterhood of Crafters - use an old rejected stamp and mention how old
(the Happy Saint Patrick's day sentiment - 2009)

The Allsorts Challenge #667 - Spring is in the Air

I wish spring was in the air, but in my area we're bracing for a few inches of snow and freezing temperatures throughout the day, so I'll have to wait a bit longer for spring. It will be a good day to work on crafts and put a big pot of home made soup on the stove.
Thanks for stopping by and do have yourself a great weekend whatever you do!

I'm sure that your soup will come out so yummy, my friend! Just perfect for cold days! Here is cold and grey too, but the temperatures are surely higher that yours :)
Your card looks SO FUN! How cute gnome and the legs you added to him look fabulous! Love the curled moustaches and the pom-pom on her striped hat!!

This card is so adorable, Carol! That little gnome guys steals the show! Gnomes have become a big thing in decorating for almost every holiday. I am not much of a fan of them but I will say that they are slowly growing on me. Love your pot of gold and that colorful rainbow! It is snowing & blowing like crazy here in Red Lion....I can barely see across the street. Crazy weather but hang in there my friend, warm, spring weather is in sight for this coming week! I am SOOOO ready for it! Stay warm & safe in the meantime and enjoy that pot of soup! I made chili!

Oh he's rather cute, I love that big pot of shamrocks at the foot of the rainbow, it's darking. I think it's pretty cool sending out St Patrick's Day cards especially when they're as fab as this one x

What a fun card Carol, loving the rainbow and gnome, especially his bright green gloves and those gold shamrocks! I think I have this little guy die myself, but haven't ever used it yet, in my mountain of NBUS. You did a great job with him and I bet your friend will just love this card! Happy St. Patty's Day Carol! Hugs, Brenda
