Older Dies and a New Stamp

I was recently browsing a store when I stumbled upon this great Stampendous sentiment stamp. It jumped directly into my cart without a thought! LOL I always try to find things to be grateful for in this world we're living in, so this stamp just knew it would find a good home with me. I pulled out an older Sweet 'N Sassy border die that I've always loved, and used many of my tiny snippets to die-cut and fill in the negative spaces with colorful flowers and dots. It took quite some time and lots of patience, but with the use of a good pick-up tool, I  was quite happy with how this card turned out.

I was so pleased with how the first card turned out that I decided to make another one. For this I used a snippet of pink cardstock, and wove a strip of sparkly silver ribbon through of the die cut piece. I used 2 MFT border dies in black on each side and just kept the main focus on that great sentiment stamp.

I was quite pleased with each of these cards and the final results.

I'm sharing the first card with the Snippets Playground #420 and all those little flowers and dots were made with tiny scraps of snippets.

Check out the brand new Snippets Playground website by clicking the link above!

I'll share the 2nd card with the NBUS #34 challenge since I'm using a new sentiment stamp for the first time.

Thanks so very much for stopping by and I hope you're staying safe and warm on this cold winter weekend!

Sometimes you just have to treat yourself and I imagine this new stamp is going to be well loved by you. I love, love the first outing with all those colourful paper pieced bits especially using black cardstock as the base... It's playful and fun.

Both cards looks fab, one happy and one rather classy with the ribbon, nicely done x

That is indeed a brilliant stamp and the colourful snippets border is super and well worth the work involved in popping those little snippets in.

Love them both, Carol! A nice big sentiment like that makes for easy cards....well except when you use that die and paper piece all those different color cardstocks! LOL I do love the outcome on both! You are very patient to sit and do that! The sentiment is perfect and one we should always remember even when we are having a rough day! Well done, my friend! Love it!

I'm really loving the borders on both of these cards and out my goodness you're so patient with putting those tiny dots with different colors in there! That must have taken some time!
