Christmas Treats

It's that time again to make those hand-out treats I make for bank tellers, grocery store workers, and store employees/cashiers where we shop. I also hand these out to delivery drivers if they're kind enough to deliver packages to our front door. Most just drop them in front of the garage unfortunately, but I do appreciate those who take the time to deliver right to the door. This is a great way to use up those small snippets of paper and make them useful and I also get to use a wide assortment of older stamps, punches, and die-cut images.

Here's a sampling of the matchbox treats that hold a Ghiradelli candy perfectly and I can use up some of those hundreds of brads I've accumulated through the years.

These boxes contain a peppermint snowman candy also from Ghiradelli. The boxes I designed didn't stay closed, so I tied them up with twine to keep things together.

This has always been a favorite of mine to make. They contain Hershey nugget candies and this is a version for 3 nuggets.

Here they are opened...

And this gives you an idea of how I decorated the candies by using some mini punches (r) from SU!

Here are a few of the 2 nugget boxes. Front and center is a piece of SU! retired gingerbread dsp and I just colored the little guy with some glaze pens

These treat holders also hold a Ghiradelli candy. It's just a strip of cardstock with punched ends and a little double sticky tape inside to anchor the candy and a bit of twine to tie the ends together.

Of course I had to make a few masculine versions for the guys too.

I used up a lot of snippets to make everything, so of course I'm going to enter these into the Snippets Playground #417

If you're still with me after this photo-heavy post, thanks! I'm glad these treats are finished and ready to hand out. I really do enjoy making them for all the holidays all year, and it helps use up those piles of snippets too! It's the smiles I get when handing them out that brings me special joy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Enjoy your weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Well aren't you just the sweetest kindest person to take the time to make all these lovely little treats. Sure to be appreciated by the recipients. They really look great.

We've strung the fairy lights and are having a nice hot mug of cocoa in the Playground Treehouse if you want to join us once you finished playing on the swings!

Hugs, Sarn x

I'm sure that a lot of people in your zone just love you :D The boxes are all so different and creative and well done for using piles of scraps!! :D The idea of decorating the nuggets wraps with little punched shapes is so clever! Brilliant also using double side tape to hold in place the candies! Thanks for all the inspirations! Well done on your compilation of treats! All them (with the candies inside!) will be so appreciate for sure!!
Sending hugs and love across the miles as always!
