I made another masculine birthday card that I'm sharing today. I used a Repeat Impressions image of a 1957 Chevy convertible. My husband's cousin had a car exactly like this in a baby blue color, which is why I lightly colored the car with a pastel blue Copic marker. I added a couple SU! enamel dots and a trimmed piece of washi tape below the image that reminded me of a checkered flag with it's plaid design. The background was done with a gold piece of card that I embossed with a Cuttlebug diamondplate embossing folder, then sanded for a rustic look. The sentiment is pre-printed from SSS and placed on a piece of copper mirror card, then placed on a piece of white card colored with the matching Copic color of the car. I had a tiny bit of the mirror paper left so I die-cut a few little stars to break up all the black color. It's not my usual type of card, but anyone who owned a car like this way back then will enjoy it I'm sure!
I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

This is such a great masculine card! I love that distressed diamond plate! Perfect for this card! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Oooh I love all the attention to little details that add up to make a super cool card. I actually thought the Chevy was printed with the light colouring until I read you added that touch and its a brilliant idea. Absolutely loving the embossing, I'm pretty sure this card will be well received and set of a few happy memories x
Great masculine card and vintage image-love the distressed embossing

Oh, wow! This is very masculine and you are really talented with this type of cards, unlike me for sure! LOL :D That fascinating car is a typical American old car. In the street of my zone it could not go around, we have roads with many hairpin bends everywhere :D LOL Love the texture of the sanded paper, it's just perfect with the car image! The tiny gold stars on the black textured cardstock add a lot of light and the checkered stripe of washi looks great with this design! Well done, Butch's cousin will love it!! :)
Big hugs and good vibes across the miles!

Fantastic design! I melt like butter on warm toast for classic mid-century cars - be they real deal or those created in paper crafting form. This is such a terrific b-day greeting, Carol. On top of the car itself, I adore that embossing folder - definitely one I'd love to add to my stash as well, as I can see a wide range of uses for it.
