A friend of ours is a carpenter who loves to make things out of wood, so I made him a birthday card with some wood-themed papers by SU! (R). I used some SSS Island Blue card, and used a set of Lil Inker stitched rectangle dies to cut the dark brown and sentiment panels. The sentiment is an old stamp by Inkadinkado that I heat-embossed with brown ep and filled in with a white glaze pen to make it pop. I added 3 brads of gold, silver and copper, and added a few Stickle dots to coordinate. I kept it simple since this is one for the guys!
I'm entering into these two challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Stamp It!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and I wish you a fun day and a relaxing extended weekend!

This is a perfect masculine card and a good one for a woodworker. The woodgrain card stock is perfect.
What a great masculine card! Wonderful woodgrain paper for the background, which is perfect for your carpenter friend! Awesome colors and great use of the brads, too!
Love the sketch and love your take on it Carol! This is a masculine looking card, I love this wood paper and even have it. Need to use it more as I've only used it once or twice and it is so realistic looking. I'm sure your carpenter friend will love this birthday! Hugs, Brenda
Nice use of the sketch, I love the pop of blue against the woodgrain and the brads look like nails holding the banner in place. Very masculine and very apt for a carpenter x
Your masculine cards are always perfect, Carol! And the idea of the wood-themed papers is the best for personalize your friend's card! :) Love your take of the sketch and the colours palette! The white on the sentiment makes it pop so well!
Hope that all things are going well in your part of the world. Here they aren't so pretty but I'm always strong...
Big hugs and love across the miles!
