I'm still rummaging through my stash trying to use up so many things I've collected through the years. Ever since Operation Write Home closed, I found myself with too much stash that I'll most likely never use.
For this card, I used a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock with some matching ribbon, a doily, and some flowers with a matching brad. I used strips of assorted designer papers to make the panel on the left, and colored the largest pink flower with some red Copic color to make it a little more like Christmas. The sentiment is pre-printed from Simon Says Stamp and placed on top of a MFT fishtail banner die-cut made of red & green.
I'll share this with the Snippets Playground #412 since I used lots of snippets to put this together.
Wishing you a stress-free weekend and thanks for stopping by as always!
Carol

You are just coming in my way using bits & bobs from stash to make cards! And very beautiful too!!! I LOVE rummaging in my stash, it remembers me when I was a very young girl and opened all my Grandmother's closets, drawers and boxes to find some treasures to play with :D LOL
That big layered flower with the doily are so sweet and just perfect as topper! They compliment very well the lovely festive scraps and that beautiful green cardstock! The cute matching ribbon and the sentiment on the fishtail banner make the card so cheerful! Well done once again!!
Big hugs, my friend!! :)

Stunning and those colours are just beautiful. Love the flowers and gorgeous papers...xx
Absolutely beautiful card, Carol! Love the panel that uses all those scraps of paper and that beautiful flower! This is a super fun way to use up all those snippets of DSP and use up those retired items! Well done, my friend! Hope you had a nice weekend! How bout that football game last night?!
Lovely card showcasing a wonderful way to use up scraps of patterned papers, you have some cracking ideas. I love the big flower sat on the doily and by adding the red really makes it stand out. Hats of to you for making Christmas cards, I've done the grand total of nil and can't see that changing anytime soon grrr! x
These scraps made a stunning card and used up some of your stash too. I love the doily and flowers. I'm with you with lots of stuff left over. Mine is from scrapbooking. I gave a lot of it away to teachers. They can use things like ribbon, stickers and buttons.
I love it my friend. Have a wonderful Monday.
Beautifully put together with those fabby papers Carol. A Super card.

I miss OWH and wish we could still send cards as I know there are still many soldier's in other countries. Oh well, it is what it is. I love this beautiful card! The papers are so festive, I love the doily tucked in behind those festive papers and I love how you took flowers and made a poinsettia with them. Looks amazing! Hugs, Brenda
Oh wow Carol, I just LOVE this!! I'm so thrilled to hear that you're going through your stash of items to use as this is so inspiring to me and to see the finished result with it all makes my heart happy too! This looks amazing and a great card to add to your festive pile! I remember OWH and have been picking out places to be able to send a small pile here and there and I just keep on going with that trying to use things up.
It's a beautiful card, Carol.
Happy Wednesday!
You've created yet another gorgeous snippety concoction and that flower embellishment is the icing on the cake.

Splendidly pretty (and seriously inspiring) card. Both my mom and I are massive fans of poinsettias and I often include one (or more) on her handmade holiday season greeting. I love all colours of poinsettias, but pink is my absolute favourite.
Joyful first day of fall wishes, lovely lady! I hope that you have a fantastic, happiness-filled season.

Just perfect Carol - as always. Wonderful snippets and just LOVE the addition of the wonderful flower. I could almost swear that something popped up on my Facebook feed only today about cardd still being needed for US military overseas, to enable them to send greetings back home. Bet I can't find it now of course bit I immediately thought of you and Operation Write Home.
Hugs
