Life's a Beach

Hello and a very happy weekend to everyone.
Today I have a card that was made with some items found in my stash. I made the background by sponging  distress inks on wc card to look like the edge of a beach, and then cast it aside for quite a long time. I finally turned it into a card when I unearthed this eons-old SU! sticker I've held onto for probably a decade or more! I added strips of pastel blue glittered card stock around the edges, along with a die-cut corner and some aqua crystal Nuvo drops. The tiny stitched tag is from MFT and the sentiment is from SNSS. The clouds and small & large sun die cuts are all from Lawn Fawn. I added some yellow Stickles for a little sparkle. I covered the boy's shirt with WOS for some sparkle as well.

I'll share this with the following challenges:

the Snippets Playground #383 - must use snippets

Double D challenge - Let's go to the Beach with this mood board:

Little Red Wagon challenge #560 - give us your background

I wish I could be at the beach at this very moment to feel the sea breeze and feel alive once again!
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

Carol

Carol, your background looks stunning and I agree about looking like a fantastic beach scene! I remember this scrapbook kit and I think I actually still have mine somewhere! (I think I was waiting to scrapbook with it or something? LOL!) I just love your design with the different elements here! Thanks for always reminding me to use what I have!! :)

Totally brilliant card.

Staying away from our local beaches . . . completely full up with tourists and a nightmare to socially distance, plus gridlocked traffic. I think the beach on your card is the place to be!

Ohhh, the beach right about now would be amazing with the breeze and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore! Love this card, Carol!! Your so good with creating cards with scenes and this one just takes me back to lots of beach memories! That adorable little boy playing in the sand is just perfect! I have a slew of those SU Stickers that I think may have come from scrapbook kits they use to carry. I need to do something with them as they are taking up space on my paper holder. Your card is going into my favs folder to look back on if I need some inspiration! Thank you! Hope your staying well & cool. I saw 90 days till Halloween! LOL Hate to rush the days but i'm so sick of this heat!

Hi Carol

Your beach themed card is great. Love the background you have created for that especially saved sticker. It must have been being saved just for this card.

Hope you have had a good weekend.

Love Jules xx

Amazing seaside, you painted it very well, it seems really to see the sweet waves broking on the sand! Love the stitched sun in the corner and the creative diecut on the opposite corner. Beautiful match with that sweet boy making his sandcastle, the tiny tag and the clouds!
I leave near the beach, but this year I don't go to there, it's necessary ask before going, because social distancing. -:(
I don't like beach this year, I prefer working in my vegetable garden :D
