Mizuhiki Accent Birthday Card

Does anyone remember Mizuhiki? I bought a couple packs of this craft wire in decorative colors a loooooong time ago and recently dug it from the depths of my stash. I decided to create an accent knot with it and attached it to the bottom of this image panel. Old stuff becomes new again once you unearth it after you've completely forgotten it even existed! LOL
The image is by Inkadinkado and I colored it with Copics, sponging in the clouds with TE stencils and Tumbled Glass DI, and added frosty Stickles to the water. The sentiment is by SNSS and was placed on a GMD Venetian die cut from the matching turquoise card base color. I've hoarded this piece of SU! Tempting Turquoise cardstock for much too long, and this is the last of it. It's always been a favorite of mine but unfortunately it's now retired.

I'm entering this into

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a peaceful and relaxing day!

Carol

Oh wow this is really stunning Carol! I've just inked up an old Inkakindado stamp for a future card, but not the same..similar though. LOVE the added details on your water with the sparkle and the wire knot is really clever and unique! I never heard of that before! What a lovely design my friend! Thanks for the inspiration!

Love the fabulous image-I love lighthouses-stems from spending my school holidays at Spurn Point where my Uncle was a lifeboat man-just 10 crew cottages and a lighthouse with the sea and beaches all the way round the point.Great texture with the stickles on the sea

Yes! Yes! YES! I do remember mazuhiki cord. Is that how you spell it? Last fall someone in my stamp club gave a piece out to people as a mystery item (you agree to make a card with a thing that you don't know what it is until you get it). I kept saying it was a real craft thing Mazuhiki cord.... but no one knew what I meant and I couldn't spell it enough to google it.

Enough dithering, your card is FANTABULOUS! Great use of the mystery cord!

That looks a very complicated knot but it looks great in the coloured wires. Not heard of the company either. Hugs Mrs A.
