Soft Summer Flowers

Hello and a very happy Thursday to everyone. Today I have a card made with an older Impression Obsession stamp that I haven't used in years. I put the Copic-colored flowers in front of a soft summer sky that was done with Taylored Expression sky stencils and some TH Tumbled Glass distress ink. I wanted a summery feel and I think I accomplished what I set out to create. I used a SU! (2009-10) teeny tiny wishes sentiment, stamping it on a piece of pale blue and backing it with a piece of grey that matches the card base. The 2 sentiment pieces were done with MFT label dies in different sizes. I covered all the flowers with a Wink of Stella glitter pen but my camera doesn't capture the subtle shimmer very well. The final touch was to add a few gold Geo Sparkler stickers for that added touch of sparkle.
I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:

the Retro Rubber Challenge #141 - a/g using stamps older than a year

Blogger seems to be playing nice today and I'm grateful for that! I've been spending less time on the computer to avoid frustration so maybe things will improve now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fantastic day.

Carol

Oh so pretty, Carol! these beautifully colored sunflowers just make me smile! Love how you created the sky in the background. So fitting for this time of year! I haven't been on my blog yet today to see if Blogger is being nice. I'm still a bit flustered with it. Fingers crossed for a better day!

The floral image is lovely all by itself, coloured as you've done but the sky background is extra special. Thanks for playing along with us at Retro Rubber Challenge.

Gorgeous and its exactly how to capture sunflowers dancing in the blue sky. I love this card because it evokes wonderful childhood memories and I hope the recipient enjoys this pretty card as much as I do looking at it through a screen x

You sure did achieve that summery look Carol! I love this card, it is very summery looking, so beautiful is that flower cluster and I love those billowy clouds with the blue sky peeking out of them. Love that you kept the sentiment nice and tiny but yet matches the card so well. Glad to hear blogger behaved for you when making this post! Hugs, Brenda

These are pretty and look like they have texture on them. Maybe they are getting the bugs worked out of blogger now.
