Frosty Christmas Wishes

Here's another Christmas card I made using an older Tim Holtz die to make the tree line in the background, along with some Lawn Fawn stitched hillside dies to create the rolling snowy hillside. The little red coupe is an unbranded die that I cut with several colors, piecing them together. I added some black mini brads for hubcaps and added lots of liquid applique for snow on all the trees. The sky was sponged with Tumbled Glass ink to make clouds and I added some diamond Stickles to the edge of each hill die for the illusion of sparkly snow. The sentiment is from an older SU! set.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

July Rudolph Days Challenge - Make a Christmas card by the end of July

Dies R Us Challenge #149 - Christmas in July

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a great weekend!

Hi Carol

A great Christmas card.

Love all the snow layers and that fabulous sky you have created. Unfortunately the sky here doesn't look like that today .. .. in fact their might be more rain clouds gathering!!!

Enjoy your Sunday.

Love Jules xx

The sparkling on the hillsides really gives a feel of snow and that red coupe is just delightful! Also the trees have a lovely snowy feel with the white details!

Carol, this is great! So very nicely done. Last year at this time I had at least half of my Christmas cards done. This year NONE!
Sorry I have not been around to comment.
We have been having internet problems all week. Has Jim stumped! We have a difficult time getting on line and then get knocked off line.

Thank you, Carol for all the nice comments on my blog. I think you might be right (at least it's what I keep telling, Jim, too! That some of internet problems could be from so many more people on line these days.

You have crfeated a wonderful scene, Carol. The trees in the background look great with this sweet vintage truck bringing home the tree for christmas.

I have mentioned that my family always went out on horseback to cut the tree and drag it home. The dogs went too. Dad always hauled home three. One for them, one for my family and one to stand in the snow outside till someone asked for it and took it home too.

Thanks for taking part in the July Rudolph Days Challenge.
