This is what my husband would say as he bought Ford vehicles mostly all his life. I made an early father's day card that will either go to my husband or my neighbor - they are both Ford fanatics when it comes to vehicles. The inside has a large "Happy Father's Day" sentiment stamped in matching colors.
I found these great snippets of retired SU! card stock/designer paper in my stash that I've hoarded way too long, so I found an old sketch that seemed perfect to use them up. It's very sturdy and heavy, unlike regular dsp, but I do love the colors, so I colored the image to coordinate with them. I used a Clear Art Stamps "Car Classics" stamp set to create the early 50's Ford image (I'd guess either a 1950 or 1951 model) and colored it with Copics, glaze pens, and silver colored pencils, adding a little glossy accents here and there. The enamel dots are by SU! and have long been retired, and this is all on a PTI Soft Stone card base.
I'm sharing this with the Cardz4Guyz challenge #240 - which is to use something beginning with "F" {Ford of course}
That's one father's day card finished and way ahead of schedule for a change. Thanks for stopping by and I hope life isn't too crazy for anyone reading this right now. I must admit I'm shocked with the frenzied shopping going on - especially with toilet paper? I just don't get it? I try to keep the tv turned off to ignore all the panic going on in the world. Hopefully this will soon be behind us and life can get back to a more civilized, normal state again! I hope you are all able to stay well!

Really like this card! Great design. I also have some of that "hoarded" paper that I keep hanging onto. My hubby called my FORD a Fix or repair Daily. (and he wasn't too far from wrong...but I loved my Ford Mustang Convertible!!!
What a wonderful design and card, very masculine and fabulous Carol. Hubby or neighbour will LOVE it.
I agree about the toilet paper, it hasn't been our supermarket for at least 3 or 4 days. I'm wondering whether I should have panic bought everything LOL. Especially as the news says us over 70's will be quarantined for 4 months! Don't know how I could panic buy for that length of time. Oh! well, we'll see what happens.

This is fab for any masculine occasion. I love the colours and design with the patterned paper. Great job colouring the car especially the light glimmering on the hood, I think that's what a bonnet is called in the U.S. Nice touches with the silver pencil too x
My hubby would totally agree about how Fords rule. He was a bit put off when I told him I wanted a Chevy Equinox. But he obliged and I do have one now. And, your card is just wonderfully done. I love the diagonal layout and beautiful colors you used. A great masculine card indeed!
What a stunning masculine card!! Awesome color, papers, and great design! My husband loves Fords, too! We had three Ford Taurus’s. And, he plans to buy a Ford truck soon. Yes, I hope all the craziness settles down sooner than later! Our grocery store had many bare shelves today. We went to three different places for toilet paper. Take care and stay well!!
Brilliant card and love the blue Ford....xx
A fabulous masculine make Carol, a super image and great papers.

I try to keep the TV turned off too - I totally makes my blood pressure go up. Better to craft and stay calm. Your car is fabulous. Love the papers and colors. Wonderful Father's Day card, Carol. Hugz
Oh Carol, this one is fantastic! Love the design and use of that paper! I have some stashed too and it is a heavy weight paper! Love the coloring of your car and the added enamel dots! Well, not much of a Ford person here as we've always had Toyota's but my hubby now has a Dodge Charger. Definitely a 1st for everything! TFS! Loved your card and i'm sure your hubby or neighbor will cherish this one! Hugs~
I love EVERYTHING about this card! What a cool image, colored perfectly to go with those cool papers and that cool sketch, LOL!!! We are Ford people too....my dad always had Fords! Awesome creation for someone special!! And I overheard someone in the grocery store this morning telling her friend to turn off her TV....and I agree! While I know it is a serious situation, the media is whipping everyone into a TP-buying frenzy!
Dwayne was a Ford man too Carol. I love your card! The papers are so wonderful and work so well for a masculine card. Is this a double point card or are the triangles just for look? I love your image and you have colored it up so well. I have some of those candy dots, only mine are more pastel I think. lol I love them because of the size, wish they hadn't retired them. You are on the ball my friend! Please stay safe and healthy with this virus stuff. I know it is over by you more than by me, but it is getting closer to me! Hugs, Brenda
Cool image and a perfect design for it too. LOVE that pretty paper!
Sorry I haven't been around. I finally feel like I MAY live - and am now too scared to leave the house for fear of getting the mess going around. What a crazy world we live in.
Oh wow that is a really nice layout design Carol! I love how you've used those papers and it really makes the image stand out nicely as well! It's a great masculine card for sure!! TFS! HUGS
Great masculine card! I love how you used the papers. Very cool. We are a Chevy family and always said "Friends don't let friends drive Fords".
What an awesome Fathers Day card, great background! I need to make myself craft, just not feeling it, great that you have so much inspiration and mojo. My house is getting clean!
