Stenciled Valentine

While rooting through my stash recently, I found a pack of 5x7 cards and envies I bought many moons ago, so I decided to pull them out and use them. I started this with a SSS Mosaic heart stencil, sponging assorted colors of distress inks in shades of red, purple, and pink. I decided to get out some Nuvo metallic embossing mousse and add some texture to the heart, and then added a pre-cut black stitched die-cut heart I found in my stash. I heat-embossed the GinaK sentiment in white and added a little pink smooch brad I've had for years. The lower border was done with a SNSS heart border die. I cut one in black, then sponged random snippets of matching inks and die cut those, swapping the negatives inside the border to match the stenciled heart above. I thought the embossing mousse gave this a masculine touch, so it's going to my husband's nephew and his wife for Valentine's day.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

the Male Room #129 - I Heart You

Thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day!

Wow! Lovely card, could be perfect for male or female recipients! It looks so modern with the muted colours of the stencilled heart that looks as a wall and the black topper with the mouth!! Well done also for the heart border, it looks great to match the stencil!
I have to buy some embossing mousse, they seems so fun to use! :)
Thanks for the inspiration!
