Thinking of You

My card today makes use of a retired stamp set from SU! called Echoes of Kindness. I've also used some retired dsp from SU! called Crisp Cantaloupe. After stamping the image, I used SU! punches to create the flowers with black and cantaloupe card stock, then adhered them with brads. I love those little button brads in the largest flower - if only they'd go through the mail without extra postage. The sentiment is also a retired stamp from SU! and I liked this one so much, I decided to make one in a different color....

This one was done in retired SU! Pistachio colors. I'm glad to be using up some of these pretty SU! retired papers and need to keep doing that before buying more! Hoarding pretty paper has become an addiction through the years and it's time to change that!

I'm sharing with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - which is "thinking of you."

Also entering into the Repeat Impressions DCCN619 challenge - to "frame it"

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

Carol

These are both so pretty. I am pretty impressed, not only, that you are using the older paper, but also that you remember the names of the colors! Have a nice weekend!

These are both so pretty I can see why you made two. It's nice to go ahead and make more than one when you have everything out right there.

Really like both of these cards and the colors that you used.

Jim and I went for a ride yesterday, and drove by your house.
The first thought that came to my mind was... I wonder if Carol is sitting in her craft room crafting.

Very pretty cards Carol! I like those button brads too. I tend to just add a extra piece of card stock or something over top the brads and mail? Never heard they needed extra postage??

Carol this is SO lovely! I like the two different colors and each one is so unique - those little flowers are a great balance for the lovely paper. I have so much papaer to use, too! Great job! xx

I love both of these cards and color choices Carol! The first one is just so pretty in the cantaloupe color, the black just makes it all pop so pretty, love corals, peaches and pinks! I also love how you added the flowers as well, a great use of those little punched flowers. Being a lover of the color green, I love the second one as well. The papers are beautiful on both and again the black makes it all pop. I have button brads too and love them! I have mailed them through the mail, I just put a piece of cereal box on top the same size as the card and stick it in the mail. That way you can't feel the "bump" from the brads as well and it can go through the postal machines. Hugs, Brenda
