Halloween Pumpkin

I had a lot of strips of this retired SU! dsp left, so I made the strips into a Bargello design, then cut and shifted them into a pattern I liked before adhering and die-cutting with a GMD stitched postage stamp die. I die-cut the little pumpkin image with MFT stitched circle dies and added some twine. I stamped the gray card base with a little bat stick stamp by Judith, and stamped the Happy Halloween sentiment by Tim Holtz to finish this non-scary Halloween card.

I'm taking this over to the Snippets Playground challenge #362 where the only requirement is to use snippets.\

I'm finding it hard to imagine Halloween is only a few weeks away! This year has flown by!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

Carol

I love Halloween, I'd love the UK to celebrate All Hallows like you do over the pond... it's fun. Great use of your snippets to make a unique background aswell as all those stamped bats, a fa-BOO-lous card :) x

How spooky fun, Carol! I totally love this one! All those snippets of paper are very eye catching and as it reminds me of a quilt! Adorable jack o lantern as your main focus and the bats on your card base are so delightful! The twine finishes this off nicely! All around winner in my book! Stay cool today! Hate to say that it's October 2nd and my AC is on...

I LOVE the way you did those strips - and they all go together just perfect. The pumpkin is a cutie too - as are the bats in the background. Precious card!
Halloween is almost here and then it'll be Christmas before we can "bat" an eye!

Fantastic patchwork, I have no patience for bargello but I do like how it looks! The punkin is so cute!

Non-scary Halloween cards are my favourites :D. In Italy this isn't a traditional holiday, even if kids love it.
Your Bargello pattern is so beautiful and just perfect for the Jack O' Lantern topper :D Those tiny flying bats all around add a lot of movement to the card!!
I have a couple of bats out of my house... every evening they fly around and eats a lot of bugs. :)

I couldn't agree more about how fast this year has gone. This is a unique, fun quilt design and a sweet little pumpkin.

Wonderful bargello style background Carol! Isn't it funny how over time we forget these ideas - that's why I love the Playground so much. Super colours and your pumpkin is actually very cute :)
