Milestone Birthday

I have 2 friends who are turning 80 in August and September, and here's one of those milestone cards I made for one of them. I used a SU! stencil to add a little pink color to the card base under the rose. The SU! Fifth Avenue Floral rose was stamped twice with Versamark on Rich Razzleberry card stock, heat-embossed with white; then fussy cut, and layered with foam tape for dimension. I took a few snippets of Wild Wasabi card stock and folded them in half, then ran them still folded into a paper crimper and fussy cut them to create the leaves. The birthday wishes sentiment was cut with Gina Marie Design dies and layered with razzleberry and pink cardstock. The "80" was die cut with my Quickutz from glittered gold card stock and placed on a black die cut banner done with a SU! die from the "Hearts a Flutter" framelit set. The 'For You" was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with gold ep and die cut with a MFT Labels die.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

(Happy Belated Birthday Darlene - I hope it was a good one!)

Thanks for stopping by and celebrate this life every day!

Wow, this rose is so beautiful with the white outline and such accurate fussy cut!! Your distinctive leaves are just perfect to compliment it and LOVE that doubled sentiment and the "80" black label, so different! Great attention to the details, too, with the stencilled portion of the base! Your friend will be amazed! :)
Hugs!

This is a beautiful 80th birthday card Carol. I love the stenciling behind the rose, loving that rose and of course your technique for the leaves. Your die cut sentiment is perfect and stands out so pretty. I think your friend will love her birthday card! Hugs, Brenda

The rose looks like velvet and I love how you did the back layer on your sentiment. Wow, you stenciled, also. Nice texture to the leaves, also! Great card!
