I hope everyone had a safe and fun July 4th celebration yesterday.
Today I'm moving into Christmas mode.
One of the first stamp sets I ever owned was by SU! in 2005 called Merry Minis. The set has 28 stamps, and for this card, I chose the little tree image. I colored it with markers, adding some gel pen accents for the ornaments and tiny star. I used a circle punch to cut it, then added Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler mats done with a MFT set of stitched circle dies. I added 3 panels of retired SU! dsp onto a Cherry Cobbler mat, then stamped the sentiment by G Studios in Cherry Cobbler and called this one done. It's a great design for using those snippets of leftover designer paper that are too small for much else, so I'm sure I'll be making more of these with different small images from the stamp set and lots of assorted colors and patterns of dsp.
I'll enter this into the following challenges:
Retro Rubber Challenge #114 - Christmas in July using stamps older than 1 year
MLCCB #12 -July anything Christmas goes
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday!
Carol

Oh I love a Christmas card this time of year, and it's gorgeous.x
This great design would give you an endless supply of different permutations for cards of all sorts not just Christmas cards and use up some of those pesky snippets that multiply at a drop of a hat., love your idea. Hugs Mrs A.
I love how you used the dsp on the panel and the cute tree. My first SU stamp set was in the 90's and it was three little stamps for each holiday. I didn't know what to do with those little stamps at the time but felt like I was getting my money's worth!
What a fun and festive card Carol and what a great way to use leftover snippets!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs

Love this...I am all for anything that uses up scraps, as well as Christmas, as well as those cute little mini Christmas stamps! I LOVE mine!! Thanks for playing with us this week at Retro Rubber too!
Brilliant card! How lovely clean look and beautiful choice of papers! Love the sketch too, it's very versatile! Thanks for sharing! :D
Your Christmas card is so pretty with the traditional colors. Great layout and pattern papers too.
What a sweet little tree. I like the way you've further embellished it to get the most out of it. I agree - great way to use up the scraps of DSP. If you don't keep using them, they end up burying you under a mountain of scrap! Thanks for joining in with us at Retro Rubber Challenge.
This is such a lovely cas traditional coloured Christmas card Carol and so pretty. I haven't even made one this year - so bad!

What a cute Christmas card, Carol! I love the idea to use up all those smaller pieces of DSP! That is my exact mission this year! Wonderful design and so pretty in these colors! TFS and I hope you guys are staying cool in this extremely hot/humid weather! How many days until Fall? LOL
I have some very old small christmas stamps too. I love what you did with this tiny tree. I’m hoping to get some Christmas cards done this month. I was away on vacation but am hoping to get back in the craft room soon!

Love this card Carol! It's a great way to use those little stamps that aren't very big. Love the DSP papers you used as well. Oh gosh, my first ever SU stamp set was when they had wooden blocks or foam blocks and I got a newspaper set on the foam blocks because I wasn't sure I wanted to get into stamping and they were cheaper. lol The foam blocks are long gone as they should be! lol Hugs, Brenda
A super Christmas card Carol, lovely Christmas papers.
