I'm constantly trying to use the paper I've had for eons, so today's card includes a piece from a very old DCWV paper pad called "Once Upon a Time." The rose is by Gina Marie Designs and was cut from white as well as some glittered SU! cardstock. I swapped the negatives for a different look, and added some hand-cut leaves from snippets of green cardstock that I ran through a paper crimper. The pink panel was a snippet done with a Martha Stewart doily punch. The "Happy" was done with a Simon Says Stamp die from the "Oh Happy Day" set, while the word "Birthday" was done with a Gina Marie Designs die. I think I might have to add a tiny butterfly beneath the sentiment as the space beneath it looks like it needs something there :) Since I die-cut the rose in 2 different colors, that gave me a 2nd rose for another card I'll post in the future.

Waste not want not is my motto so eager to see the card you make with the second rose. This card is very pretty. Hugs Mrs A.
You inspire me with your use of your pp, Carol! LOVE your beautiful rose card! I think I might need to hang a sign in front of me that says PP because my drawers of it are behind me. Apparently that means it's out of sight, out of mind! I hope you have a fabulous Friday, too ... as well as the weekend!! Hugs, Darnell
Oh, this rose is really beautiful with the glittered outlines and the white inlay! It's so sweet and elegant! And always love seeing your leaves made with the paper crimper, they have a wow factor!!! :D Lovely paper and doily border, too!! It's a very romantic and feminine card! :)

I love your card with that pretty rose and also the crimped hand cut leaves. Now I wish I had not sold my crimper. LOL
Stunning! Love the colours.
Blimey, DCWV now that's a blast from the past especially Once Upon a Time... I miss a lot of the old manufacturers. Anyway, your card is very pretty and to be honest I don't think it needs anything under the birthday but we're overly critical of our own work, loving the sparkle x
Well, your patterned paper is certainly a classic design because it goes just so perfectly with this rose die! Wonderful card, could be used for so many things!
Oh this is pretty I love the ep outline ………...Lis

WOW, this card is beautiful, Carol! The paper is really pretty and I love the rose! Love how you created the leaves with the crimper and the panel that is punched with the MS Doily Punch! All around lovely card! Well done, my friend! :)
Very pretty card, Carol. I have been trying to do the same thing, Carol. (Use up my stuff!) I think I have to live to be 110 to do that (especially, considering how slow I am at getting cards done these days!
