I have quite a few anniversaries coming up soon, so I decided to get started with the cards now before time slips away from me completely. I stamped this Inkadinkado Rose with Versafine Onyx black ink on white card stock, then immediately clear-embossed it. I added some color with 2 Copics and then used a Tim Holtz burlap stencil to sponge Distress Tattered Rose ink on top. I added a black sentiment panel that was die-cut with a Lil Inker stitched die and heat-embossed with white ep, using a SU! teeny tiny wishes stamp. I added some Nuvo pink droplets for the final touch and it's all placed on a powder pink card base.
I'm sharing this with the Double D Challenge which is - "Rose Garden"

I too played with roses this week, and had a blast. This is lovely and the stencil made a great background for your pretty bud.
Stunning card Carol love the beautiful rose and great stencilled background---this would be perfect for the stencil challenge at A Place to Start

Such a gorgeous and elegant design here Carol! Love the way you've done the background with the flower and the black really goes nicely with the pinks! HUGS

A wonderful rose image and the card is gorgeous too.
This is a modern and elegant card, love how the vintage pink burlap stencil matched with the black. The rose bud with the banner looks great and the drops add the perfect touch, well done!
Pink and black, gorgeous together. Great job on the background stencilling, it almost looks textural and adds interest for your rose to be showcased x
Lovely project! I must say that using the Tattered Rose DI on that burlap stencil was a righteous design decision because, for me, that is the elevating element that adds so much visual interest to this project! Thanks for sharing the wonderful creation with us here at A Place to Start! We look forward to seeing more of your work!

Made me giggle, When our son was 4 a neighbor gave him a rose for me . He knew my b day was coming so he kept it (6 wks) and gave me a dead black rose with the biggest smile ever...…………..Lis
