Floral Birthday

I've always been inspired by sketches but seldom get to play with them anymore, but I found this sketch at the Flower Challenge #31, and wanted to play along since I have several birthday cards to send in May.

I used some SU! dsp and some Lawn Fawn pink card stock, adding a SU! Petal Burst embossed panel in white, along with a PoppyStamps Tulisa Corner Collage die to make the smaller vertical panel. The flowers were done with a Hero Arts stamp with black ink on pink, and enhanced with a SU! marker to add some color, then fussy cut and popped up for dimension. I used a retired SU! mini punch to cut the circles for the flower centers from matching dsp and shaped them by pushing a pencil eraser into the centers before adhering them. The sentiment is by SNSS.

Adding also to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - anything goes.

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fantastic day!

Carol

So impressed with how you used the sketch!! Your card is fantastic, especially with all the texture you created with the embossing and die-cutting. The colour combo is gorgeous and really like how you carried the patterned paper into the middle of the flowers. I'm so very glad you shared this with us at The Flower Challenge!!
