You Rock!

I have two photos of my card today because I really had a difficult time getting a photo of the guitar as it's purple and silver mirror card and reflects light quite differently from any angle. I made a rock star birthday card with some new things I haven't gotten around to using yet - the Yvonne Creations Guitar die along with the My Favorite Things Equalizer stencil.

To make the vertical border I used a MFT notched border die, using both cut edges along with a piece of stamped music notes to put in between. I added some tiny stars that were in my stash from a previous cutting. The equalizer stencil was sponged with white craft ink and the sentiment was already stamped and in my bits box, but I don't know who designed it. (Linda left me a comment letting me know it's by Birdie Brown - thanks Linda) I colored it in ombre style with Copics and cut it with a MFT horizontal stitched strip before coating the letters with glossy accents. The card stocks are from SU! and Lawn Fawn.

I'm entering this into the following 2 challenges:

Dies R Us Challenge #113 - anything new (Guitar die and stencil)

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful start to the weekend!

Oh my, Carol, how wonderful card!!! LOVE the modern look and the colours you choose, the guitar is absolutely delightful as well the stencilled equalizer! The edge with those vertical borders looks amazing and the ombre effect on the sentiment is wonderful!! I'm sure that my niece Aurora would agree with me LOL :D

What an AWESOME card creation Carol! Yes that shiny paper can be very difficult to photograph but you've captured it beautifully! LOVE the purple (my favorite) and the stenciling is such a great idea! Well done! Thanks so much for playing in our ‘Anything NEW’ challenge at Dies R Us. Good Luck and please come back again soon!

Wow, loving this one Carol! The colors are great, love that music paper along the side and the darker purple punch/die. Also love the equalizer stamp, so fun but it is the guitar that is stealing the show! Love the choice of mirror card you used on it and I can imagine how beautiful it must be in person. You ROCKED this card!!! Hugs, Brenda
