A Basket of Thanksgiving Treats

We've been invited to a Thanksgiving dinner, so I decided to make a little matchbox treat for everyone who's going to be there.
I made this little basket (with an older GinaK template) to hold all the matchbook treats, using kraft card stock and some autumn leaves dsp along with some hello honey cardstock and ribbon. The leaves and acorns were made with Spellbinder's dies and white cardstock; sponged with Distress inks in peeled paint, fired brick, spiced marmalade, mustard seed and gathered twigs and clear embossed for some shine. The ovals were die cut with SB petite oval dies.

Here's the other side of the box with a Thanksgiving sentiment attached with gold cording, and 2 more SB leaves done the same way.

Here's what's inside the basket - matchbox treatholders done in the colors of Autumn, and they all have a little "happy Thanksgiving" punched greeting on the front done with a retired SU! Tags 4 You stamp set. (huge thanks to my sweet friend Wendy for making and sending me all of those punched greetings since I don't own that stamp set.)

Here's what the matchbooks look like inside. I used "A little something" for the sentiments, and die cut them all with a "square pillow box thinlet die." (both the stamp set and dies are from SU! and retired) The inside holds a delicious coffee thin from WaWa which fits perfectly inside the little pocket.

I'm sharing this with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which is Thanks/Thanksgiving challenge.

Thanks for checking in today and I wish you a wonderful Friday!

Carol

What a wonderful little surprise for the guests at Thanksgiving! I love the basket too.
Can you believe I don’t know what a coffee thin is at WaWa, I usually only go there for a hoagie. Lol. DH goes more often for breakfast or something.

Amazing, Carol! I feel like a real sloth now, going to someone's house with just a bottle of wine!! Any hostess would be over the moon to have these as table favors and the little basket is sensational, too! Gorgeous fall colors!! ❤Hugs, Darnell

Blimey Carol, these are awesome and the amount of care and attention you've taken to make these shows in abundance. The colours are perfect and I honestly think I'd squeal if someone bought these to an invitation to dinner, you'd be spoilt... they are darling x
