TMS #465

Hello and welcome to another fun Tuesday Morning Sketch. Today we're working on sketch #465.

I flipped this sketch to make a wide fold card instead of the way it's shown in the sketch. I guess I just dance to the beat of my own drum sometimes :)
To make this "get well" card, I pulled out a piece of Tim Holtz dsp from a retired paper pack called Vintage Shabby and added a strip of blue cardstock with the sentiment stamped in black. I added a vanilla border done with a Martha Stewart doily punch and a few sponged, stitched clouds from Lil Inker, and stamped a few birds from a SNSS Serene Silhouette stamp set and called this one done.

Be sure to check out my DT member's blogs too as they always make some wonderful cards to inspire us all.

Here's the prize up for grabs by playing along with this week's sketch...

I'm also sharing this with the Shopping our Stash challenge #366 - silhouettes

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you'll do with this sketch in the coming week!

....And you always dance so well, with your own or with others drums!! LOL :D
Very beautiful interpretation of the sketch, Carol! Those stitched clouds with birds look wonderfully in the dp sky and the lace border adds sweetness to the whole card! Well done!

Nothing wrong with dancing to your own drums, Carol! This is very pretty in the soft blue color and that patterned paper is gorgeous! Love the clouds and your sentiment panel, too! Great job on this week's challenge! I hope my mojo soon comes back. I sat yesterday for hours and just could not create anything. I will be giving this sketch a try! Have a great day & stay cool! :)

You go ahead and dance anyway you care to. This is a lovely card and I like it flipped. It has me dreaming of cool, crisp weather. I am always a big fan of blue. WTG!

With most crafters using dies now days, we tend to forget our wonderful, and expensive punches. I have 4 large boxes full and after seeing your card on the challenge blog, I re-arranged for easy access to mine again... thanks for inspiration and love this beautiful card. Love the blue and the bunch border. Mine in finished but waiting for 'space' to be able to post.xxx

I sometimes wish I was not "literal" with a sketch, so I VERY much admire your interpretation with this beautiful card Carol.
