August Rudolph Day

The calendar has rolled around to the 25th of the month again which means it's time for another Rudolph Day Christmas challenge! The challenge runs from the 25th to the end of the month, and all you need to do is make a Christmas project. Playing along with this challenge helps you build that Christmas card stash so you're not empty-handed when Christmas draws near!
For this month's entry I used a piece of silver foil card, and embossed it with a giant snowflake ef from SU! that might be retired by now. The blue die-cut was a gift from my friend Alice in Italy who generously shared it with me and it looked just perfect on top of the embossed snowflake. I added some Nuvo glitter drops to the center and other random areas. I love how those drops took on a blue look in the center when they're clear! The sentiment was done with a Sunny Studio die and some silver foil cardstock - I was lucky enough to win this great die from playing in the Rudolph Challenge some time ago :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is fabulous!

Carol

So glad to see how well you used the Heartfelt Arianna Lace snowflake. I think that it originally was thought as a lace flower, but all say snowflake about it :). The clear drops look wonderfully in the centre, as well the silver embossing on the back! I too are using your clear drops anywhere :D Thanks!

Oh my goodness! This is stunning, Carol. I love the two huge snowflakes on the mirri background. Glad to see you were able to use the Merry sentiment you won here!

I have some huge Memory Box snowflakes. I may just copy you for my September Rudolph Days card! I will give you credit of course.

Thanks for taking part in the August Rudolph Days Challenge.

I would have thought the die cute and the embossing folder were a set, they really go well together. This card makes such a great impact with all the shine! I can imagine the Christmas lights bouncing off the foil paper.

Beautiful. I really like the effect of laying the die cut snowflake over the embossed one in a bold colour, works brilliantly to make a really classy Christmas card x

The foil card stock looks so pretty embossed! Love the blue snowflake on top it goes so well and really pops out at you. I have trouble when I use the foil in layers....have to use the red sticky tape if I want it to hold.

Stunning card and the colours are fabulous. Alice sent me some of these snowflakes too as I just love them...the die is so expensive here sadly. Nice to have friends who share.xx

Just Awesome! And what a good photo you got despite the shimmering c/s you've used. The layers of snowflakes are beautiful, and the blue over the silver is gorgeous, as well as rich & elegant. Well done on both the card design AND the photography! TFS & Hugs
