TMS #463

Hello sketch fans, another Tuesday has rolled around and this week we're working on sketch #463 over at the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge.

I don't make square cards because they require extra postage, so I improvised on this sketch, adding a little extra to the bottom to make an A2 card. I stamped the image from Darcie Lookie Here and colored it with Copics, then die-cut it with a SB square, and matted it with a SB scalloped square die in Island Indigo. I embossed the yellow horizontal border with a very old strip ef, and placed this all on a  piece of Graphic 45 plaid dsp. The sentiment is by Stampa Rosa and was placed on a yellow panel that was die-cut with a MFT fishtail flag frame die. I added a matching dsp die-cut Quickutz corner to the image panel along with some small blue gemstones in 2 corners.

Here's the prize up for grabs this week in our random drawing...

Be sure to stop by and check my DT members blogs for more inspiration.

Thanks for checking in, and good luck if you play along! Happy Tuesday :)

What a cute get well card Carol! I am so loving that you took this sketch and made it fit your needs. Yes, square cards cost more, thus why I don't make them and if I do, I put them in a regular envelope for their size so I don't have to pay extra postage. That little duck image is adorable! I love his bike and basket full of flowers, how could that not brighten someone's day?!! Great papers too! Hugs, Brenda

Such a sweet card! I love that little duck.

Let me give you a tip - if you make your card 4 1/2 inches square (so almost an A-2) just put it in a normal A2 sized envelope. If you make your card 5 squared it'll fit in an envelope for 5x7 card. You might have a little extra room in the envelope but no one usually keeps it. Single stamp as long as there is no bumps (ribbons, brads, buttons, etc). If you send a square envelope it's not machinable which is why the extra postage.
