Colorful Wedding Card

I normally make white or vanilla wedding cards, but I decided to make a colorful one just to mix things up for a change. I used a Melon Mambo cardbase along with a piece of water colored cardstock. I spread 3 different colors of distress ink (raspberry, spun sugar, worn lipstick) on a silicone craft mat, then spritzed it with water, dipping the cardstock into it here and there until I got the result I was looking for. After it dried completely, I inked up a Repeat Impressions Palm Frond stamp with white craft ink, stamping it all over the pink colors. It turned out so pretty, it was a shame to cover so much of it up. I die-cut the oval with a Gina Marie Designs die, added a small Cheery Lynn Flourish and some tiny inked flowers done with a retired SU! mini punch. The final touch was to add a ribbon and bow and some pearls to the inside of the flowers.

I used the Repeat Impressions J1318 tic-tac-toe challenge to make my card, basing it along the bottom horizontal row.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start! Stay cool if you can!

It's a lovely and so different wedding card, especially love those shaded palm fronds on the sweet pink! The swirly flourish looks so cute with the tiny flowers and the gems! Well done!
