Hello and since another Tuesday has rolled around, it's time for the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #444. This week we have a sketch designed by our own Melissa.
You can already see that I've taken liberties with the sketch by eliminating the hearts and bow and turned my card into a masculine Father's day card.
The left side of the card is composed dsp panels from My Mind's Eye "on the bright side" paper pad. I chose masculine patterns and die-cut them with MFT stitched vertical dies. The black embossed panel was done with a Cuttlebug Cape Code ef which looked rustic to me in a way. The Kaisercraft stag die was cut in black and a wood-grain cardstock, and I placed the black die into the wood-grain negative and added some golden nailhead stickers. The sentiment is from the now-closed Mark's Finest Papers store.
This week there's a great prize up for grabs that everyone (including myself) would love to have! Check the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog for details and while you're there, check out my DT member's cards for some wonderful inspiration too! Or, you can click below to see each one..
Thanks for stopping by and have fun with the sketch! Have a good day while you're at it too :)

Oh my....I LOVE this, Carol! Love all the wonderful patterned papers you used and that deer diecut is awesome!!! You make the best masculine cards all the time and this one fits the bill today! Great job with the sketch, too! I recently saw a deer die like this at Micheal's by Recollections. It reminded me of all your fabulous cards! TFS and have yourself a great day! :)
awesome card, absolutely a striking card for males which is so challenging or at least for me. great take on the sketch
That deer gets quite a work out! Isn't it great how it is so fitting with so many ideas. Love all the wood and texture, also. Great Inspiration!
I love the use of negative space and the 'masculine' patterns.

Love your masculine take on this weeks sketch Carol! I see there are MORE stitched dies I NEED to add to be never ending wish list! I need to make sure I make some Father's Day cards with this die soon. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great take turning the sketch, and that black stag looks fabulous with the contrast on the faux wood paper! Well done!

I love your take on this sketch Carol!!! This is such a wonderful masculine card. The papers you used are fabulous and perfect for any man. The stag head you used I'm in love with and he is perfect inlaid on the wood. Loving the embossing folder you used too, it goes so well with the papers you used! Hugs, Brenda
Fabulous and the sketch is one awesome one...hope I get time to play in this one.x 💖 [Aussie aNNie's Blog]
Great masculine card design. I love the layout of that card too with all those fun papers and layers.
You've gotten a lot of versatility from this stag's head, and I loved it each time you have featured it on a card. This one has so much texture, (and I like the way you've added the bits of color with the side horizontal panels). What really stars on this one - tho - is the texture of that black embossing. It is absolutely perfect with your design...and it's a splendid Father's Dad card too! I liked your take on the sketch - very much! TFS & Hugs
Neat idea. That woodgrain paper looks so much like wood.
This is a MAGNIFICENT masculine card Carol - I love that stag and the colors, and how you interpreted the entire sketch! :)
Very nice card
A fabulous male card Carol and I love the papers. Barbxx
This is the coolest card ever! I like the stag silhouette inlaid with the woodgrain paper. It's such a great guy card.
