Birthday Daffodils

I  love a good sketch for making a card and found the Repeat Impressions sketch challenge #J3118 and decided to play along.

I began with a MFT stencil and some Distress Inks, sponging each color through the stencil for lots of color. I embossed the top of the Hello Honey cardstock with a Cuttlebug Cape Cod ef, and added a piece of Hello Honey burlap ribbon to separate the panels. The daffodil image is from an older Flourishes stamp set which was colored with Copics and dotted with yellow and orange stickles for a bit of sparkle. I placed it on a MFT stitched circle die-cut with a SB die-cut circle in black for the mat. The sentiment by Stampendous was heat embossed with white ep on black and fussy cut by hand.

Here's the sketch...

Thanks for stopping by and here's wishing you a great Friday!

Your card has me dreaming of spring! I love how you used the stencil for the stripes at the bottom of the sketch. Fantastic!

So pretty and so spring like! I really had hoped the groundhog would not have seen his shadow this morning because I want an early spring but...no such luck! Love the embossed panel and those beautifully colored daffodils! The pop of sparkle from the Stickles is perfect! Love this, Carol! TFS and stay warm today!

Where do you get your Cuttlebug embossing folders from? Your daffodils are beautiful as well and perfect for this sketch. Hugs, Brenda

This is a lovely Birthday card! The daffodils look wonderful and I love the embossed panel.
At this time of year it always seems hard to believe that the daffs will soon be popping their heads thru the ground, but we have had unusually mild weather lately, so I think it will not be too long till we see them!
