We have friends who like to hunt, so I made a couple masculine tags to attach to their goody bags for Christmas. I used strips of dsp from a DCWV paper pad and formed them into a herringbone pattern. I die cut the tag using a Lawn Fawn Tag You're It set, then added some snowy hills by cutting snippets with Lawn Fawn stitched hillside dies. I added an I.O. deer from expresso cardstock, then stamped a sentiment using a retired SU! set. I added a snippet of ribbon and twine and called this one done. I had enough herringbone pattern left to cut another tag, so I made a 2nd one...
I used a different I.O. deer image and added a different color snippet of ribbon and twine, along with a different stamped sentiment.
I'm taking these to the Tuesday Throwdown TT321 which is to "make a tag."
Thanks for stopping by - and make it a great day.

Both tags are simply gorgeous, Carol! Just love the paper you used and that herringbone technique! The snow hills and your deer diecuts are great for a masculine tag! Anyone who receives one of these tags is lucky! I SO love them! TFS and hope you have a great day! :)

Wow Carol!! Both of your tags are absolutely gorgeous!! I just love the way you've used your papers for the background!! This is another clever idea to use up those scraps we have!! :) Sending you lots of hugs my friend!
Fabulous tags, great design. I love the designer papers you used and the die cut deer look great on the stitched snowy hills.

Gorgeous tags. I like that herringbone in those rich masculine colors.
I don't like hunters, they take away life of sweet innocent animals that don't hurt nobody. Sorry for my honest words, Carol, but I'm sad, I have read five minuts ago of the poor squirrel Bon Jovi of Pamellia that has been murdered by a hunter and I'm so sad. He was so sweet and cute... I love deers, too... :(
However, I really love both your masculine tags, they are just marvellous! I pinned the first one https://it.pinterest.com/pin/534802524485801714/
Your herringbone pattern made with stripe of dp scraps looks amazing!

Adorable tags and I just love how you use your stips of paper, fabulous.x.xx {aNNie}
These are super. To start with I thought you had used washi tape but using dp is even more time consuming. your patience has been rewarded though. I love the desing and those deer placed feeding on the hills. Hugs Mrs A.
Love these tags! You have do inspired me to get out my "deer" stamp and dies" (NBus...so I guess it would be about time I do...smile)
Beautiful tags ..Lis
Splendid. Think this is one of your best with the herringbone pattern, and it looks SO cool with the stitched hill and that wonderful buck. A perfect design for a masculine card! TFS &Hugs
Okay, this is your best design EVER, Carol!! Your pattern looks totally like a guy's winter sweater! You are a g.e.n.i.u.s!! Hugs, Darnell
What great papers you used. They look marvelous, so will greatly appreciated for their masculine qualities!
Great masculine tags. It reminds me of hunting. From a previous comment above, I am sad when I go hunting but it is truly the circle of life and I know that my family will have food for months to come. These gift tags are excellent for any nature lovers or hunters.
Wow!!! I LOVE the combination of masculine theme on a quilted background. This is so cool!
