White Dresses

A neighbor of mine is getting married soon, so here's a little card for her bridal shower. I used a SU! dress form framelit die, adding a couple layers of tulle  on the skirt of the dress with some narrow satin ribbon around the waist. (click to enlarge for details) The background was done with a Spellbinders "flowers" Impressabilities and I added some Wink of Stella shimmer to the flowers in the pattern. I added some 2mm pearls to the bodice of the dress, and silver embossed the SU! teeny tiny wishes sentiment. Both the embossed panel and the card base were die cut with Lil Inker stitched rectangles.

Lately, I've been making 2 of each style card I make, so here's the 2nd one.........

For this one, I used a different dress framelit in the set of SU! dies, and embossed the skirt with a CB swiss dots ef. I added a satin waistband, and a silver embossed punched flower with a tiny gemstone in the center. I'm not sure if I like all the white on white, because the elements seem to blend into one another.

I'm sharing over at the Shopping our Stash Challenge #257 which is to use a dress from or a dress.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Carol

Hello Carol: I adore both cards, they are so beautiful and elegant. White on White is very classy and I agree with Mimi, the embossing on this elements separates them beautifully.
I love this dies, the sky is the limit with what you can do with them, I'm so glad I grabbed them before SU retired them.
Love the embossing folder you used for your background, it's perfect for the occasions.
Thank you for playing along with us at Shopping Our Stash, we hope to see you back in the gallery again soon.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.

Both cards are just beautiful Carol! I could kick myself that I didn't get this dress die set. I've seen beautiful dresses made with them. Just recently I saw some red/white/blue dresses on Pinterest. I think your neighbor will love her card! Hugs, Brenda
