Is it Coffee Yet?
This Stampendous image cracks me up every time I use it LOL The dog reminds me of my grandfather who was always buried in his newspaper while waiting for his coffee to brew! I colored the image with Copics, adding glossy accents to his glasses, and cut it with a Gina Marie stitched square die. The background was done by adhering snippets of cardstock in a random pattern, then using a Hero Arts chevron embossing folder, and cutting it with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die. The sentiment was a gem my friend Mary Anne found at a stamp show and shared with me a long time ago. The card base is a light celery color, also cut with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle.
I'm sharing this over at the Snippets Playground #232 - which is always to use snippets.
Thanks for checking in today and I wish you the best day ever!
Carol

Kind of looks like my Grandpa also. Paper and coffee, but my Grandpa also had a cigar with is coffee. (yuck) This is a great card and I love the colorful, textured backdrop for this darling image. Sorry I've been MIA I've been intensely working in the yard to get it all finished so I could take the rest of the summer off.I just have a couple more plants to transplant from side yard to front yard and I should be done for this year. The cards you've made this past week are all fabulous which is no surprise to me. Hope you have a good day and upcoming week. We are getting some rain, heavy tonight, so a lot of knitting and crocheting for me the rest of the day.
This one cracks me up too with the doggy & his newspaper. Great coloring, BTW. You know I love your quilt cards, and how much more dimension you've achieved with the chevron embossing. Perfect sentiment to go with this card...somebody is in for a big smile when it's opened! TFS & Hugs too.
A super card Carol, a fun image and lovely bright background.

What a fabulous card Carol! This dog cracks me up!!! I guess back in the day a lot of father's and grandfather's read the morning paper while waiting for the coffee to percolate! Now I doubt many know that we used to have to percolate the coffee! Talk about a walk down memory lane! And now a days the newspaper doesn't come in time for breakfast. My how things have changed and not always for the better! Hugs, Brenda
What a GREAT card! I really think this is a funny image and I have never seen it! The background paper is very fun and looks like a great use of scraps. TFS!
Oh, such a supercard!! This image make me smile, it's breathtaking! The doggie seems a man reading his newspaper!! And the sentiment it's really perfect for this scene!! Very fun!! The glossy accents on the glasses looks so well and you know that I always admire your patchwork embossed background! This is fabulous with the chevrons and all these colours! Great work!
