Oh Christmas Tree(s)

In keeping with my promise to make more Christmas cards this year, I have another one to share today. These are SU!'s Trendy Trees embossed in gold and cut with a SU! tree punch. I split the front panel into 2 pieces, leaving a gap in the center, and added 3 punched red stars to the treetops, along with a SU! retired sentiment. The card base is Gumball Green. A piece of acetate would probably have made this easier to assemble, but I didn't have any, so it's just held together with adhesive on the tops and bottoms of the trees. The next time I try this design, I think I'll add a snow-embossed inside to give the trees a nice wintery background.
I'm sharing this over at the Jingle Belles Christmas challenge which is "Oh, Christmas Tree." If I can remember to play along with this challenge, I should have more than enough Christmas cards next year!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Friday!

Carol

Now I know what to do with this SU set & punch! This is so pretty, and a clever use of the supplies. Simply love the card design too. Aren't you the clever card maker to design this style. Also like your idea of adding some 'snow' on the inside...that will be even prettier! Stay cozy & warm. TFS & Happy wkend.

The golden embossing looks so beautiful on the simple trees, and the stamp used is gorgous! Very creative design with the panel splitted in half, I have never seen this, clever work! The red star are catch-eyes!

Quite different and beautiful. Those trees look spectacular embossed in gold. I should really try to play along with this challenge also so I would not have to resort to store bought cards next year. Have a great day. We are getting tons of rain today. Not my favorite weather and I have to go out today. This will make for a very bad hair day for sure. LOL Enjoy the weekend.

I love how this card turned out Carol! The split card is a cool design and one that catches my attention each time I see one. I love these trees and the red stars you placed on top. I'd say you have a winner with this one and hopefully a whole stash of Christmas cards for next year! Hugs, Brenda

This is a pretty cool looking card. Something tells me that it was more than fiddly to put together though. The end results were worth it!
