The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is to create your own background without using any designer paper. I was inspired by Vicki's great card here, so I gathered my markers and just made one big mess! lol The papers are from the inside cover of a watercoloring paper pad, and I knew one day I'd find a use for that softly textured paper! I colored the papers randomly with markers in many colors and just had fun. I colored the crayons from the Lawn Fawn stamp set, along with the sentiment, adding negative snippet bits from border cuts. I fussy cut the crayons and popped them up on foam tape. Those little Lawn Fawn smiley faces get me every time :)
I'm also entering these cards into the Shopping our Stash #220 challenge which is "show us your smile" - as well as the Snippets Playground #195 which is always to use snippets.
Here's wishing you a colorful day, and thanks for stopping by!
Carol

I love these backgrounds! I might try them with water color or Gelatos, though. Less coloring. (I am so lazy.)
WOW -that certainly is one very vibrant card Carol.
Perfect for kids and I love the sentiment.

Whoa! These are both way cool. I really like that second one. It reminds me of camouflage, but like if you trying to hide in the teen section of a department store. So Fun!
Fantastic job Carol! Love the backgrounds and those wee smiling crayons!! Thanks for joining the SHOPPING OUR STASH crew for our "Show Us Your Smile" challenge!

This is just great! I was so happy to see you took it over to the Snippets Playground. If this isn't a clever & brilliant use of snippets to make a pretty impressive card, I don't know what is! WTGo. Happy Birthday. TFS & Hugs
