June is for weddings

It's June, and my neighbor's daughter is getting married next Saturday, so I'm sharing the card I made for them. Their wedding colors are navy and champagne, so I've taken both the navy cardstock from the invitation, and the champagne envelope paper, and used them along with white cardstock to make this card. I began with a SSS thank-you heart die, using just the solid heart portion, and added a MB Serafina heart die-cut on the top. I added some pre-made tiny bows with pearls to the heart along with a SSS small "love you" die, and 2 punched birds using the invitation papers & cardstock. The bird's wings were embossed with a SU! square lattice ef, and I added lots of 2mm clear gemstones and tiny pearls all over the card. The card base was embossed with a SU! tulip border, and a smaller panel was embossed with a Sizzix Curlique & Heart ef and cut to fit inside the framework of the tulips. Click to enlarge the details.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Cuttlebug Mania - Use a die-cut machine and add bling (diamonds, pearls, etc)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - anything goes.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great Monday!

Carol

Stunning. Love the way you've done the wings. Grand idea to add the Serafina over the solid, makes a beautiful background for the die sentiment. Of course I'm loving all the embossing too. The tiny bows & pearls were the final perfect trim. They will LOVE it! TFS & Hugs
(PS - in hunting for a die, I think I found I have the same problem lattice CL die...will have to try & see how it works.)

This is an absolute treasure, Carol. I love all the different embossing folders you used and the different dies and those bows are spectacular. If I were them I'd frame this and keep it in their home to share with everyone. Enjoy the week ahead.

Sounds like your wedding is the same day as my wedding. lol I love the wedding card you have made for the happy couple! What I really love is that you used the couple's invite to punch out some of your pieces, that makes this card even more special. Love your beautiful card, love the embossing and of course your love birds. I know the happy couple will treasure this card for years to come. Hugs, Brenda
