Hollyhocks Birthday

Here's my card for the ScrapyLand challenge #2 which is to use heat embossing on your die cut elements. You also must use a die sold in the ScrapyLand store, so I'm using the Impression Obsession Hollyhocks die. I cut some stems from white, lavender and mauve cardstock, and embossed each stem with clear detail ep. I added a few die cut stems with a little bow at the bottom. The butterflies were done with a Punch-a-bunch, and the sentiment is from Lily of the Valley. The papers are from the Violet Crush paper pad by KaiserCraft.

Here's a close-up that shows the embossed detail.

Wishing you a wonderful Monday as fall arrives later this evening! If autumn is as nice as the summer we've had, we're in for a real treat!

Thanks for stopping by! It's always nice to see you :)

This is such a sweet card and I love the colors you've chosen. Love how you tied a ribbon around the stems too. Just a small clarification - you need to use a die brand that Scrapy land sells, not necessarily the specific die itself. (So if you happen to have a Memory Box die, for example, that isn't listed as one of the specific products on their page, it still qualifies as it's a brand that SL sells and would qualify for our challenge.) Hope that makes sense. SO glad you joined us for the Scrapy Land Challenge and hope to see more of your great projects.

A lovely bouquet of different floral colors. That closeup really showed the shine of the EP, and the background paper was so pretty with your hollyhocks. The tiny ribbon was pretty tying the stems together. TFS & Hugs

Oh this is sooo pretty Carol. Totally different from the one above, which did raise a smile!
This is more like I am used to seeing and purple tones.

What a gorgeous card. I think I'd burn my fingers off trying to heat emboss a die cut. I've had my eye on that hollyhock die for quite some time. Someday it will be mine!!!
