Clean and Layered Butterfly

I made this butterfly image many moons ago, but finally got around to using it on a card! I'd found a technique way back then to use a magazine page by stamping & embossing on it, so that's how this butterfly image came to be. I don't even know what butterfly stamp I used or if I even still have it. I hand cut it around the edges and adhered it to a gray piece of cardstock, and brushed the edges with a Versamark ink pad and embossed them with matching silver ep too. I used a couple pieces of matching cardstock with some black and mauve ribbon and called this one done!

I'm entering this into the Card Concept challenge #7 which is to use a butterfly. I suppose this could be considered "clean and layered" for the challenge.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend full of sunshine and fresh spring air! Thanks for stopping by!

Carol, love the colors of your card. And... you used a technique I haven't head of. Might need to give it a try! Thanks for posting...

Hmmmm, what an interesting technique! It looks rather rustic to me, and I like it!

The embossed butterfly is beautiful, good for you for finding a way to use an old piece from your stash! I really should do that more often myself!

Very cool card Carol! I am loving how the embossing looks. I never heard of stamping and embossing on a magazine page before, but it sure turned out great! I am loving your paper choices too and that color combo! Hugs
