Here is my take on the Tuesday Morning Sketch #232 which is also a monochromatic challenge. I chose neutral colors of chocolate and vanilla. The poppy die is from SSS, while the dsp, butterflies, ribbon & sentiment are all from SU! The tiny pearls are from Pizzazz Aplenty.
This card was made for the Tuesday Throwdown #178 which is to use "stripes." The beautiful background papers were a Christmas gift from a dear friend and they all work so well with this darling pre-colored image from Laurie Furnell. I added some sponged clouds and some grass color to ground to the image, and a MFP sentiment. The mini flowers were done with a SU! punch and some yellow mini brads were the final touch for this preview of spring card.
Thanks for sharing a few moments of your day with me, and I wish you all a fabulous Friday!
Carol

Chocolate and vanilla are awesome together. I keep seeing that wonderful poppy die and it is so pretty. Great card!
You've made the cutest scene with your clouds and grass. Just perfect to go with this adorable image. Such pretty paper from your friend, too.
Both very pretty cards, but I especially like the second one...those colors just go together so well, and you have so many neat details there...
Another fantastic creation, Carol. The sky and grass make the scene complete.
Hi, it's me again! I was scrolling backwards, and did not realize the chocolate and vanilla beauty were in this same post! LOL! Just love the ribbon and the paper pieced die.
Both are wonderful! The image on that second one is so cute. Looks like a sad little mouse with no where to hide. Precious. Love that first one too! So pretty in monochromatic!

Great cards as always! I really like the layering with the ribbon between on the mouse card. The flower card is just perfect in every way--the colors, the layout, the patterns. You rocked it!!!
Both cards are really lovely. You are making me hungry by describing the top one as "chocolate and vanilla." :)
Goodness me that but that mouse is adorable. I love meeces and love this card to peeces. Off to find out more about Laurie Furnell. Hugs Mrs A.
p.s. I have blog candy if your interested.
These are both wonderful cards!! I really love that poppy die!!
Thanks for sharing with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches!!
I'm seeing this fantastic die everywhere, but don't think I've seen it used on the patterned paper you chose and it's lovely! So very sporty with the striped ribbon banner & I'm lovin' these colors. Now that little mouse is just adorable. I laughed at the expression on his face, it sort of reminded me of how I must look of a morning, crawling out of bed. Loved the colored image, your clouds background and the layout rocks. This is gonna cheer the recipient so very much. TFS & many Hugs
Brown and white polka dotted flowers - Love them. I adore the simplicity of this card. Your second card is just as cute as can be. Those tiny flower are a sweet embellishment for this one. Love the three layered sentiment piece. Have a fun day.
