Owl Valentines

I've been making Valentines for the Cards From the Heart Card Drive (on my sidebar) and just kept playing with this little owl because he looks so cute with that tiny heart on his chest! This card will be going to one of my DGD's and it's an A2 size. I used a Chalk Talk Framelit die from SU! and covered it with tiny embossed hearts done with a Sizzix curlique & Hearts ef, a store bought glittered foam heart, and some long-retired SU! ribbon. The red & white strip just above the embossed hearts is actually a sliver of striped dsp. The branch leaves were cut from a piece of leftover green dsp. The sentiment is from SU! teeny tiny wishes, and the background embossing folder used is from Darice.

This is an ATC sized card that I'll be sending to CFTHCD. I sponged some clouds with Tumbled Glass ink, and just perched this little SU! punched owl on his branch and added a SNSS sentiment. The inside has XOXO colored in red. This started with a piece of cardstock 5" x 3-1/2" and was scored on the 5" side at 2-1/2" which gives a finished size of 2-1/2 x 3-1/2" - which is the size of an ATC. You can cut 5 from a standard sheet of cardstock, so these go together quickly!

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions about supplies used, please email me (my address is on the sidebar) and I'll get back to you ASAP!
Have a great day!!

Carol

Carol, your first card with that little owl is the cutest (and prettiest) thing EVER! It's adorable and I love all that embossing and the design. The ATC is fabulous too.....so tiny and cute, cute, cute. You're really inspiring me to get out my owl punch and start playing now.

Carol, Two cuties that's for sure. Your DGD will love this one and I really like the size of the ATC card. I'm going to have to try that in the near future. Had been out all day to a funeral for a 32 year old boy. So sad. We'll talk soon.

More little owl! I love it. He's so cute and you've done nice things with him. I'm loving the card but the ATC is no slouch either.

These little ATC cards are a great idea! I love the use of those little owls and the embossing is beautiful! Also like how you used the SU tag framelit on the top card. The striped ribbon is PERFECT!

This is the cutest owl. I especially liked the textured vest & his google eyes too. Both are just delightful, and I love the EF (got that one too! You'll probably see it used on some of my V. cards.) Great job on your cloud background too. TFS & Hugs
