Here's my card for the OWH Stars and Stamps Sketch challenge #207. I used the SU! owl punch and a MFP sentiment, along with a Sizzix embossing folder from the "Hello Friend" set. The candy dots are from SU! in coordinating colors. The dsp behind the owl is a snippet from the Making Memories Wedding stack.
With all the leftover bits I used to put this together, I'm also sharing it over at the Snippets Playground #107.
This one is for 2 different challenges. First up is the Cards in Envy challenge which is "Snow Buddies" this week. I thought this little Penny Black hedgie looked adorable with his snow buddy :) I just cut and matted with a SB labels 18 and added some bashful blue satin ribbon. The bow looks bulky, but I put weights on these cards to flatten them, and they go through the mail with a single stamp. Satin ribbon flattens better than others. I added frosted stickles all over the image, and the background paper is from Echo Park Winter Wishes. {click photo to enlarge and see that detail}
I'm also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Ice Inspired challenge. I love how icy the dsp looks with all the delicate lines and swirls!
That's it for me today, so here's wishing you a warm and wonderful day!
Carol

Two adorable cards this morning, Carol. I love the owl and am recently seeing owls everywhere.
You know I love that snowman card. What a cute smile he has on his face. Just precious.
Have a wonderful day.
Hi Carol! Two wonderful cards! Love how the snippet of paper behind the owl coordinates with your embossing pattern! Great use of the sketch and I love your cute hedgie card, too.
Two great cards as always! The outline on your diecuts really stands out and frames the image perfectly! WTG!
Another snippet owl! How sweet! I like how he's looking off to the side. I love the Penny Black card. At first I thought you ran the image through the Swiss dots embossing folder which is brilliant. Now I realize that you put dots of glitter glue ALL OVER it which is just as brilliant!
Both cards are great! Thanks for the tip about weighing the cards down to flatten them. I will try that with my own cards.
Lovin' both of these. That first one is so cute with the little owl and the embossed background. Like those candy dots too.
The second.....ah, loving all that blue! So pretty and a perfectly tied ribbon.

Two darling cards, Carol. I love that the paper and the embossing match so nicely on your first card. I also really like the font on the sentiment and that touch of red on the small panel is a real eye catcher. OH snow buddies! adorable and yes the Stickles show up nice when clicked on. I love that ribbon. It's too bad it has to get smashed down for delivery. I'd say you've been feeling very creative today and should take a break for the afternoon. It is not as warm as it is suppose to be here and it is very, very windy. I think I'll hunker down for the day. Enjoy your day.
Adorable!! Love that sweet lil Owl and think your card came out perfect!!
You must be UP very easy to have your card all done.
Here I am, at noon, just sitting down at the computer for the first time. Had to do my Sunday Cleaning and of course, I slept in, which was fabulous...until 9AM...Love that!!
Have a wonderful day!!
Hugs,
Lisa
Carol both cards are so adorable. And I always discover new and fun challenges on your blog. You are the challenge queen... I love it! TFS!
Two great cards, Carol! I love the color combo on your sketch card. That gray is a perfect background!
Just as I thought....I tried to leave a comment this morning and it just disappeared.
Your owl card is just too cute. I'm recently seeing owls everywhere, not just cards, either.
You know I love the snowman card and it has the cutest smile. Just adorable!
Both wonderful cards! I especially like the second Snow Buddies one. Thanks for the tip about weighing the cards down to get them "mail ready." Tfs!
I forgot to ask--do you know the name of the embossing folder in your first card? I love it, and would like to get it if it's still available!
Carol, Two great cards, but I adore the little owl. Too cute! Really gonna have to break down and buy that punch. :)
Both just gorgeous!
Awesome cards-- love the sketch challenge card-- that embossing is perfect and I of course love the owl :)

Two lovely cards! I adore the owl - and as others have said, immediately I spotted the co-ordination between the snippet of BP and the embossing folder you used. Clever twist to a super card!

Your cards are extremely adorable Carol. Love that the snippet behind the owl coordinates with the embossing. The pop of red is perfect. Lovin the hedgie and snowman stamp and all the pretty blue. Thanks for playing!
These cards are so adorable, Carol! The owl on the first card looks very cute! The snowman scene on the second card is fabulous! The hedgie is very sweet! :) Thanks so much for joining us at the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Blog!
Love both of your cards! The snowman one for our challenge at Cards in Envy is adorable! Thanks so much for sharing!
That little owl is so darn cute and I love how the embossing matches the background of the little guy! Both cards are fabulous!
Hi Carol, Love that little owl! I was really interested in seeing the size of the SU! Candi Dots - I tried using some of mine (not SU!) but they were too big. These seem a very nice size.
The hedgie card is adorable. I like your idea of using weights on the bow - I usually whack the knots on my ribbons with the eyelet hammer I have, lol!
Both are cute! I am in love with the owl punch!
I'm really enjoying all these visits from Mr. Owl. He is just so adorable the way you have used him. Happy to see you took him over to the Snippet Playground on this cute card, and your #2 is wonderful with Mr. Hedgie. Love Hedge & his Snowbuddy. So cute and loved your outlines on the mats. Very distinctive touch to make the mats pop. Must remember that one. Except my lines would be all crooked. Yours look wonderful. TFS & Hugs
Just re-read your Edit comment, and thanks for putting this out. I have the same problem, with the Google+ and don't know how to get back to the commenters to reciprocate. Also with the Bloglovin, I don't know how to look at all to see who are following. I've been able to see some using a tip another blogger gave me, but I can't see the number that shows up as bloglovin followers. So I appreciated your edit comment!
Two great card...as always!
I clicked to enlarge and really admired the stickles snowflakes on the last card. Brilliant idead
Oh my goodness your cards are so cute!! I love the embossing on your owl one and of course that cute little owl too. lol I think that background paper you used on your hedgehog card is fabulous!! I also love your cute hedgehog, you have him colored up so cute. I love the shape you have him on too.
