I've had this Cocoa mouse digi image printed out for a long time, so today I finally made a card with it. I colored him with Copics, coloring the inside of the oval with a matching color, and stamping the sentiment after coloring. Before cutting, I outlined the SB die cut with a Distress Marker in Antique Linen. I used the smaller end first and it didn't show up well enough, so I used the larger end and then thought it was a bit too blunt!? Oh well, it's done :) I added two eyelets and some Lawn Fawn twine, popping the image panel up on foam tape. The punched hearts were done with SU! punches, and the dsp is from the DCWV Linen Closet paper pad.
I followed the Tuesday Morning Sketch #231 for the design, and I'm also entering this into Pixie's Snippet Playground #106 since I used snippets of the dsp to put this card together. Lastly, I'm entering this into a brand new challenge I found while visiting my friend Mary Anne's blog earlier today called the Mod Squad Challenge. Cat is hosting the challenge and listed a few of her favorite things, and we're to choose at least 3 of them to create our cards. I chose die cuts, twine, layering, and coloring with Copics.
That's it for me today, but thanks for stopping by and have yourself a wonderful day!

Where to start!! Okay. First this is adorable. I love the mouse his expression is sooooo cute. I love that floral backing paper (DCWV?) and the idea of the eyelet holes and twine is just brilliant. Your outlining with the distress marker is very good. It hasn't bled at all. Did I happen to mention that I love this card!! Hugs Mrs A.
