Holiday Holly

I played along with the Addicted to CAS challenge #20 which is "Holiday."
I bought this Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alterations "Holly Branch" die well over a year ago and barely used it, so I decided to make some Christmas cards with it this year. Everything was die cut from my scrap bin, and I curled the leaves around a pencil to give them some life. I popped them up on foam tape and added a Sweet'n Sassy sentiment, and this card was finished!

I'm also entering this into Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground #87. In all honesty, I could probably post every card I make into the playground challenges as I've been trying to use up all those little scraps that have mysteriously accumulated in my stash!

My Christmas card pile is quite substantial as I've been making them all year long, so I'll have plenty of cards to donate this year. (yay!)

This is my 2nd post today, so thanks for coming back! :)

Very nicely done, Christmas card. Like you I have been making cards all year long too. Last year I ran out of cards and didn't have enough, and I didn't want that to happen to me this year.

Bright and Cheery just as the holidays should be. I love the texture on your papers. I second Mary Anne's sentiment: Simplicity at it's best! Enjoy your day.

Just perfect Carol! Love the simplicity yet it's so very striking because of that - great idea to curl the holly leaves too.

I think that is the same die I have and believe I have only used it once. You really made a beautiful CAS card with it. Wow!
I'll have to go digging for my die.

Good idea to curl the holly round a pencil to give it that lovely natural look. Hugs Mrs a.
