Fun in the Sun

Here is my card for this week's House Mouse Challenge HMFMC121. The theme this week is "Here Comes the Sun." I'm also entering this in Oozak's challenge #3 to use 2 designer papers and an embellishment. There's a tiny turquoise gemstone on the sentiment panel for my embellishment. I used this fun image I believe is called "beach bums" and paired it with some dsp from the Echo Park Happy Days pad. I used a SNSS sentiment, and an EK border punch for a little more beach fun.

This is the inspiration photo for this week's {PIN}spirational challenge #10. I just love the colors and patterns on these adorable little beach outfits!

I used navy, turquoise, and green galore to put this card together. The digital image is named D2D so I'm not entirely certain who made it. If anyone knows, leave a comment and I'll give proper credit. I colored it with copics and embossed the 2 panels with a SB M-bossabilities Trendy2 folder. I just LOVE those deeply etched chevrons and dots! The sentiment is by SNSS and the green and navy ribbons are from my stash. The pink gemstones are from Pizzazz APlenty.
Now I feel like taking a drive to the shore to catch some warm sun and sand between my toes. Oh well, it's probably raining there this week too so I'll stay home and stamp :)
Thanks for checking in and make it a great day!

Carol

What cute cards, Carol, I love them both! I especially like the card that you embossed, I'm very attracted to chevrons right now and this folder is lovely!

Thanks for leaving your kind comment on my blog. Sandie did, indeed, love her retirement card and I was so pleased that she did.

Carol, You make me want to visit the beach also. Maybe on Saturday when it will be in the 80's here. Big difference from the 50's it's been in. Well your cards help me think of summer weather. The HM scene is just adorable and you really gave them some nice coloring. Great papers and layout. Your second card is so bright and cheery looking. I LOVE that M-Boss. folder. I have a shipment coming in today with an M-Boss. folder in it. Can't wait to use it. I like how you have the polka dots in the ribbon and the holes in the circle. It brings everything together nicely. Enjoy your day.
