Welcome to the Crazy4Cocoa challenge #30! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! This week, the challenge is to make "anything but a card" so I've made a recipe card. I printed the Chef Cocoa image, colored him with Copics, and hand wrote the recipe. I've been making ranch/garlic/dill pretzels for several years now, but in the past year I experimented with taco flavors and this recipe seems to be the most popular. Just recently I saw packets of "hot & spicy" taco seasoning, so I might even play with this recipe a little bit more.
Here's the recipe:
a 16 oz bag of broken sourdough pretzels
3/4 cup oil
1 packet low-sodium taco seasoning
1 tsp. red pepper chili powder
1/4 tsp. cumin
pinch of cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 250. Mix all ingredients together and let sit up to 3 hrs, stirring every 20-30 minutes. Pour onto a baking sheet and bake 40 minutes, stirring once after the first 20 minutes.
If you play along with us this week, be sure to tag your creations with C4C30 so we can find them!
Have a fantastic day and thanks for stopping by!
