Today's sketch challenge #64 over on the S&S blog really threw me today! LOL I really had a difficult time coming up with an idea for this sketch!
Nothing was working for the element on the bottom left corner, so once I decided to eliminate it, the rest of the card came together easily. I embossed the side and lower panels with a CB strip ef (forget the name, sorry) and added just a touch of color with markers. I made 2 score lines to "frame" the border, then added a scrap of black and embossed pink cardstock, with a cute image I got for $1 at Michaels. I die cut the image with a Labels 10 and popped it up on dimensionals after adding 2 mini brads. The sentiment was computer generated.
We're supposed to jump into record high temperatures tomorrow, so I hope to get outdoors and enjoy some of that sunshine!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

Carol, this card is precious. I love the side and bottom boarders. You did a fabulous job colorng the little flowers and leaves. The pink and black go wonderful together. I love that little $1 stamp. I hope to get back into this craft room tonight and Tuesday. I have all day plans for Monday so that is out. Darn! I have really missed crafting these past few days. Hope you get to enjoy tomorrow. We had a beautiful day today but we will be getting rain all day tomorrow.
So pretty, I have that cuttlebug border folder (just my type) I've only used it once, Obviously, I need to get it out again...Wow! the border looks so great on this card. I like the way you colored the leaves and buds...

Hi Carol ~ Don't you just love Michael's Dollar bins? This image is too cute...and I love your embossing and the coloring you added to it! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
BEAUTIFUL! I love this - the marker accents on the embossed edge is just lovely.
Very pretty! I really like how you did the edge pieces!
what a cool sketch.....bold and dramatic and yet feminine
Very nice, Carol! Don't you love it when a challenge stretches your crafting muscles a little bit!? I do! Thanks for joining us in this week's OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch Challenge!
The coloring on the embossed border is great. It makes it look like it was made to match the image. Nice job!
Oh, I love how you used that sweet embossing folder and then colored it. So pretty. Don't you love those$1 images? I sure do.
On Saturday and Sunday, we had temps in the low 90's. And, sunshine. It was awesome. Storms today and temps back down to the
70's for a bit.
Your card is so pretty and feminine, Carol! It shows me not to feel limited by a sketch, but to see the possibilities!!
