Celebrate Spring !

Hello and welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge! This week our sponsor is Tiffany Doodles and the challenge is a "think spring" theme. Flowers always come to mind when I think of spring, so I've chosen the beautiful Daphne flower w/ oval image for my card.
I printed this beautiful flower w/oval on cryogen paper and colored it with Copics, then added some microbeads to the center with glossy accents. I added Hero Arts pearls to the outside of the beaded ovals diecut and wove some PTI plum pudding polka dot ribbon through the openings between the ovals. The background was embossed with the Tim Holtz texture fades damask embossing folder.
I liked this image so much I decided to create a 2nd card. For this one I used the single Daphne flower image and layered it using the labels ten die cut with PTI plum pudding. It also has the purple microbeads in the center, and some silver beads on the top & bottom. I attached the greeting with an eyelet, and tied some silver cording around the card and through the eyelet. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and the background was embossed with a Tim Holtz texture fades brick wall ef. For both cards I used the following Copics: V06, V12, V15, V17, B04, G07, YG06.
We are now into the spring season (at last) so grab your spring-themed images, stamp a card, and come play along with us! We'll be around to see what you create! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Carol

Both of these are beautiful, I love these stamps. The first card is precious. The coloring is perfect and the beads in the flower centers show up nicely. What a great way to showcase the ribbon. Now I have to go get that die just so I can do that with the ribon. Here you go costing me money again. LOL. The background is perfect for this card.
The second card is just as gorgeous and I like that die also. I like the way you did the silver cording around and through the eyelet. I love eyelets and I have not used them enough lately. Got to get back to using them. Your bead placement on both cards is perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Bravo, my friend, gorgeous work, as always! I will definately check out this challenge! So glad you did not waste your time yesterday. I only bought a few sentiments and some background stamps. Bought 2 high priced Copics and came home to find I already had the one. Grrrr, forgot my chart. We were in and out in 40 minutes. Hugs!
