The StampinB's challenge#97 this week is to use a bird on our cards. For my card, I dug into my pile of scraps once again. The blue panel was pre-made at Christmas for matchbook covers and never used, so I used it here rather than throw it away. The flowers were punched from a scrap of pink vellum with 2 Martha Stewart hydrangea punches, colored with Copics and after layering, were dotted with perfect pearls. The branch was stamped with a retired SU set using memento cocoa ink, stamped off once. The bird was done with the SU bird punch, and I added some glossy accents to the robin's red breast. The wings were run through the SU lattice square ef for a little texture, and the sentiment was colored with markers before stamping. Spring flowers and a robin.......if that doesn't put you in the mind of spring, than I give up! LOL
Nascar starts their new season with the Bud Shootout Saturday night, and the big Daytona race is next week - so I'm doing the happy dance!! I can't wait to hear those words again.........."gentlemen........start your engines! " Woot!! Go Tony!!
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Those flowers are GORGEOUS, Carol! And I love that sentiment, too... a very sweet card.
Carol, these hydrangeas in vellum are luscious. You've made them come alive with your coloring. They are just beautiful on that branch. I also love how you use the lattice folder for the bird wings.
You're right, you know Spring is almost here when you see the robins coming in large flocks. I think they arrive here in late March.
I suppose we all know where to find you Saturday night...and, you'll be the one doing the dance.
Enjoy yourself.
Carol, I meant to say thanks for joining the Stampin B's with your pretty bird card. I'm loving seeing everyone's beautiful birds this week.
Wonderful! I love the bird and sentiment - but those flowers are just awesome!! So pretty.
